Hello and thank you for visiting my page.   I was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  I graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and from Michigan State University with a Master of Arts in Education.   In 2007, I moved to New Orleans, Louisiana and taught first grade for five years.  In 2012, I moved back to Michigan to help open a brand new charter school that serves the children of East Detroit.  I continue teaching there today.
